In episode 3 I talk a little bit about the confirmation in the news that the EOS 5D mark IV will have built in GPS and Wifi. The main topic of this show is how and what I look for when shopping for a camera bag.

News

Canon Rumors reported that Indonesian regulatory filings indicate that the Canon EOS 5D mark 4 will include both GPS and WiFi capabilities. However, the WiFi radio appears to be limited to 2.4 GHz band only, so 802.11N with speeds potentially up to 600 Megabit/second.

Both of these are good news in my opinion. I’ve become a pretty big proponent of in camera GPS for geotagging as I think it’s the most effective way to go about doing that. And WiFi tethering is something that could potentially be very handy for me if it allows seamless integration with Lightroom without the USB cable.
